Dream Numbers (Numerology)

Any number or string of numbers in a dream should be considered a symbol and decoded just like any other dream symbol through the process of numerology.

What exactly is numerology and how does it relate to dreams?

Numerology is a metaphysical science that reflects certain meanings in the relationship between numbers and living things.

Since the universe and everything in it can be traced back to mathematics (like it or not), then this particular science is worth looking into.

Our dreaming minds understand how numbers work even if your conscious mind does not. Think of Numerology as a way for our waking minds to bridge that gap of understanding.

When dream numbers are literal such as the portrayal of a phone number, clock time, birthday or some other date, pay attention to where the numbers appear (on a calendar, book, watch, house, gravestone, a bill and so on). This is an important indicator of what the content of the number message is all about.

However, if the numbers are more on the mystical side such as seeing 5 of something in a group, or performing a particular gesture 3 times etc.…then numerology can be very helpful in triggering understanding.

Below are some universal meanings of numbers 0 thru 9 gathered from multiple numerology sources, but they basically agree on the overall message.

NOTE: Any double digit numbers can be broken down to a single digit, for example: 21 = 3 (2+1) Another example would be 99 = 9 (9+9 = 18, then 1+8 = 9)

Just keep breaking it down until you have a single digit. Numerology can get more complicated than this, but it is really not necessary for most dream work.
