Daydream Interpretation

What does your daydream content say about you? Let's find out!! This page is probably the most important page of this site.

My definition of day dreaming is 'any thought not focused on the present task at hand'. Now, how much time do you actually spend in the present moment? Probably not a lot.

Most of us spend a great deal of time in this mode thinking about the past, or thinking about the future.

Is there anything wrong with that? No, of course not...it's perfectly normal!

We all spend some time thinking about things we'd like to do, or wish we could have. BUT, we spend a lot more time thinking about things we don't like, or don't want to do.

H-m-m-m-m...

You've all heard these sayings:

  • "You are what you think"
  • "Be careful what you wish for"
  • "You create your own reality"
  • "Like attracts like"
  • "If you think you can...you're right"
  • "If you think you can't...you're right."

And so on. These sayings have a lot of truth to them. (That's why they are often used sayings!)

Your daydream content is extremely powerful and it is actually the underlying foundation that makes up your day to day existence.

So, how does this work?

Your subconscious doesn't know the difference between your conscious daydreams or reality. It is behind you 100% in what ever it is that you are focusing on and of course, will carry that focus into your sleeping life as well, reinforcing those thoughts.

The point I'm making is if your focus is largely negative, then it will generate negative emotion and negative events in your life. And the reverse is also true...if your focus is positive, then you will have more positive emotion and events.

So, the idea is to daydream more about what you want, rather than what you don't want. This is the universal Law of Attraction. I know you've probably heard of this law, but you may not have ever connected it to daydreaming.

If you simply become aware of your daydreams as you are thinking them, make a note of what the intent is behind it. Is it something you are thinking of getting away from, like your job? Or is it more along the lines of how you are going to go about getting the job of your dreams?

See the difference? The latter is not only more positive, it also involves taking action towards something that you do want. Just becoming aware of your daydream as it is occurring will change your life for the better. Go ahead and try it. You've got nothing to lose!
